The Paris-Orly Airport (ORY) is an airport in Ile-de-France located 14 km south of Paris, France. It is used mainly for national, European , and flights to the Northwest Africa, the Middle East and DOM-TOM (French overseas points).
Orly remains the busiest French airport for domestic traffic and the second busiest French airport overall in overal passenger traffic, with 33.1 million passengers in 2018. It is divided into two large terminals (South Terminal and West Terminal) and has three airstrips. Besides, it also has a charging terminal. It is managed by the company - Aéroports de Paris, port authority responsible for the operation of both Paris airports.
The airport is located nine kilometers south of Paris on an area belonging to the municipalities of Orly , Villeneuve-le-Roi , Athis-Mons , Paray-Vieille-Poste , Chilly-Mazarin and Wissous.
Streets The national road N7, coming from Paris, runs under Terminal Orly 4 and the runways to the south, the next motorway is the A6.
Orlyval The Orlyval automatic trains run in a few minutes between the two stops Orly 4 and Orly 1/2/3 and on to the RER station Antony , where you can change to the RER B line to Paris - continue to Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport see below. The journey between the terminals is free of charge.
RER The airport is connected to two lines of the RER S-Bahn , the RER C line stops at the Pont-de-Rungis / Aéroport d'Orly stop , from where a shuttle bus runs to the terminals. Tram The line 7 of the Paris tramway links the airport with a journey time of about 30 minutes to the metro terminus of line 7 in Villejuif.
Buses The Parisian transport company RATP maintain regular bus routes to Orly; Line 183 to the Porte de Choisy metro station , line 285 to the Villejuif-Louis Aragon metro and two routes of the night bus lines called Noctilien to the Porte d'Italie and Athis Mons pyramid de Juvisy . Express buses run as Jetbus to Villejuif-Louis Aragon and as Orlybus to Denfert-Rochereau .
Aéroports de Paris airport buses run between the terminals and the more distant parking lots.
Cars Air France The coaches ( Cars ) of the Air France operate on the line 1 from the Terminal des Invalides via Montparnasse to Roissy.
Line 14 of the Paris Metro As part of the Grand Paris Express project , line 14 of the Paris Mêtro will in future be extended to Orly Airport and will then be the fastest and highest- speed connection to downtown Paris, without having to change trains.
