The most important airline in Vietnam was founded in 1956, but the current name and characteristics of the airline date from 1989. Vietnam Airlines has more than 65 destinations in the Far East, United States, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and routes national, with a fleet of 93 airplanes and almost the same number of units entrusted to the manufacturers Airbus and Boeing. It has been part of the Sky Team alliance since 2010. It is headquartered in the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi, and two main operating bases at the Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat airports, located respectively in the capital Hanoi and the former capital of South Vietnam, Saigon, currently Ho Chi Minh City. Along with its passenger transport services, Vietnam Airlines also has freight transport services as well as catering and airport services.
👜 Baggage regulations at Vietnam Airlines
Vietnam Airlines establishes certain differences between flights to and from the United States and the rest of its itineraries. In the first case, all passengers, regardless of the class in which they fly, can carry two pieces of luggage up to 23 kg and linear dimensions of no more than 158 cm. On flights with a different origin and destination to an American airport, and depending on the region and the class in which the passenger flies, Vietnam Airlines offers a baggage allowance of between 20 and 60 kg. In the case of children luggage, Vietnam Airlines only allows to carry 1 piece of up to 23 kg and 115 cm for flights to and from the United States. For the rest of the routes it is 10 kg. In both cases a folding stroller can be added to the luggage.

Vietnam Airlines online check-in is available from 24 hours prior to 2 hours before flight departure. For itineraries with more than one flight section, the same periods are established for each of the routes.
Vietnam Airlines online check-in is only available for up to 9 people included in the same reservation. In that case, passengers must check-in as many times as necessary until completing the list included in the reservation code.
The Vietnam Airlines online check-in service allows you to print the boarding passes, so it is advisable to do it on A4 paper so that all the information contained therein is included.
