LUXAIR - Société Luxembourgeoise de Navigation Aérienne, called Luxair for short, is the national airline of Luxembourg. It is the only airline in the country to carry passengers. It is based in Sandweiler and operates its home base at Luxembourg Airport. From there, it operates scheduled and charter flights on short and medium-haul routes in Europe and the Mediterranean region. It primarily connects Luxembourg with the capitals of other European countries. Business travelers mainly use the routes from Luxembourg to London, Munich and Geneva. The latter is one of the most profitable and therefore most important routes of the company. In addition, Luxair heads for various destinations in Europe from Saarbrücken Airport, and even Cape Verde Islands Sal and Boa Vista, which are just under eight hours away, are part of the company's route network. The majority of Luxair shares are held by the Government of Luxembourg. But the German Lufthansa is involved with 13 percent of the airline. 👜 Baggage regulations at Luxair
The luggage regulations of Luxair are simple and transparent. In Economy Class you are allowed to carry a maximum of 8 kg of hand luggage and another item on board, as well as a piece of luggage up to 23 kg. As a Business Class guest, you may carry two carry-on items and one additional item. In addition, you have the opportunity to give up to 32 kg of luggage and a golf equipment. Additional luggage can be checked in for a fee of 75 Euro.
