Lanmei Airlines is a low-cost Chinese airline registered in Cambodia. Lanmei is the abbreviation of the Lancang-Mekong River. The Lancang River, also known as the Mekong River, is essentially a river. The Mekong River, a part of the Lancang River stretching out of southwestern China, flows through Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam and into the South China Sea. The identification of Lanmei Airlines is like a peacock spreading its tail. Lanmei Airlines chose the peacock as a logo because it symbolized totemfavorably in Eastern and Western cultures.
