👜 Baggage regulations at Hong Kong Airlines
Hand luggage may weigh a maximum of 7 kg on flights with Hong Kong Airlines and may not exceed the dimensions of 36 x 55 x 23 cm. In Economy Class, one piece of hand luggage is allowed, while in Business Class two carry-on items are allowed. In addition to your carry-on and checked baggage allowance, you can bring along a laptop bag, a small handbag, a small camera, a screen and reading materials. Please note that your carry-on baggage must be transported as checked baggage in the hold of the aircraft if it fails to meet the above conditions or if it can not be stored in the passenger compartment in the luggage storage or under the seat.
On all flight routes except the Southwest Pacific and Saipan, 20kg of economy class tickets and 30kg of free luggage are included in Business Class. Between Hong Kong and the Southwest Pacific, for flights over Hong Kong and within the Southwest Pacific, 30kg is allowed in Economy Class and 40kg in Business Class. For your flight with Hong Kong Airlines, online check-in is available for about 20 different airports. As a rule, you can check in online from 48 hours up to a maximum of 2 hours before departure. You can then drop off your luggage at the airport directly at the drop-off counter and use the free baggage allowance for flights with Hong Kong Airlines included in the ticket price.
