👜 Baggage regulations at Hong Kong Express
The low-cost airline tries to keep the ticket prices as low as possible for you. Among other things, this is achieved by the fact that in the standard tariffs initially only the carry-on of carry-on luggage is permitted. The size restrictions for hand luggage of maximum 36 x 23 x 56 cm are based on international standards of other airlines. Included in these measurements are also any handles, pulleys and straps. Hand luggage must be stowed in the luggage storage or under the seats during the flight. Note that in addition to the safety regulations that apply to prohibited items, the maximum permissible weight of 7 kg is also controlled.
As the standard fares of the airline only include the transport of hand luggage, you must purchase the permit separately for additional checked baggage. Keep in mind that the fees charged at the airport are high and it is better to book appropriate luggage packages from Opodo in advance. Regardless of this, the sum of all edge lengths (width + height + length) may not exceed 158 cm, as otherwise additional fees will be charged because your luggage can only be transported as freight. The same applies if a single piece of your luggage exceeds 32 kg for HK Express flight. Exceptions may apply to special equipment such as musical instruments and sports equipment in certain circumstances. Please inform yourself about the valid conditions in good time before departure.
