Since 2008, the airline Edelweiss Air is a full subsidiary of the well-known airline Swiss. Its headquarters are in Kloten, Switzerland, and Zurich Airport is both the hub and home airport of the company. 👜 Baggage regulations at Edelweiss Air
All the things you need on board during your flight with Edelweiss Air and all your valuables should be carried in your hand luggage. In Economy and Economy Max Class, you are allowed to carry one piece of hand luggage of a maximum of 40 x 23 x 55 cm and a weight of 8 kg. If you travel in Business Class instead, you are entitled to carry two hand luggage of 8 kg each. As additional personal items on board walking aids, prostheses, greaves, medical devices are tolerated, if you need them. Each passenger may also take a handbag, laptop bag or shoulder bag with a maximum of 40 x 30 x 10 cm into the passenger cabin.
Checked-in luggage is to a certain extent already compensated with the ticket price. This included baggage is also referred to as a free baggage allowance. With this airline it is not possible to combine the free baggage allowance of several travelers, so that the following information must always be given to each person with their own seat: All pieces of baggage that are to be transported as checked baggage allowance may have a maximum sum of the edge lengths (width + Length + height) of 158 cm.
In addition, no single piece of luggage may exceed the limit of 32 kg, otherwise it will have to be transported as freight for a fee. In Business Class, all tickets for flights with Edelweiss Air 2 contain up to 32 kg of baggage. In Economy and Economy Max Class, the airline allows free baggage of up to 23 kg. On flights to Brazil, you may deliver two pieces of luggage up to a maximum of 23 kg for transport in the hold.

Online check-in gives you the convenience of checking in from anywhere and printing your boarding passes on your own. This service is subject to a time limit. It is available from 23 h to 1 h before the scheduled departure time on the airline's website. Certain regulations or technical conditions may mean that an online check-in for certain flight routes can not be offered. If you prefer or prefer to use the check-in counter instead, you must do so for an international flight with Edelweiss Air no later than 120 minutes before departure.
