Air Seychelles is the national airline of Seychelles. Seat of Air Seychelles is the island Mahé. Founded in 1978, the airline initially operated only domestic flights before the offer in 1983 was extended to international flights. The first worldwide destinations included London and Frankfurt. Nevertheless, the focus of the private enterprise is still on national flights today. The most frequented islands are the Seychelles Mahé, Praslin and Bird Island.
On domestic flights mostly twin-engine turboprops are used. In addition, passengers can explore the varied island world through island hopping. Here, small machines also operate between the smaller neighboring islands. The Indian Ocean Pass also gives passengers an even larger route network. Here, Air Seychelles, Air Mauritius and Air Austral have joined forces to put together a comprehensive range of flights to various islands in the Indian Ocean.
Internationally, selected destinations in Africa, Asia and Europe are served, such as Paris, London, Rome or Johannesburg. From Germany, feeder services from Air France, British Airways, British Midland and Alitalia can be used. The airline flies with a young and modern fleet to provide passengers with maximum safety and comfort. The Economy Class promises in comparison to other airlines a greater service and more legroom with a seat distance of 81 cm. By default, all passengers can choose between an international menu and local cuisine. The Business Class of Air Seychelles is called the Pearl Class. This has so-called Lie-Flat seats with a seat angle of 180 ° and built-in massage function. Air Seychelles' frequent flyer program is Seychelles Plus. There are three different levels of membership that decide on the type of rewards.
